Now that we have dug our feet into 2019 I am looking down the road into the year and trying to plan ways to make this an amazing year. With this I have to plan out our schooling; we homeschool our kids and I want them to also get the most out of 2019. There are so many more tools for kids to help them with their education and I want to utilize these as much as possible. One of these amazing tools that our family has been using is the Echo Dot Kids Edition.

There are some things I can’t imagine not having around the holidays. One of these items might surprise some, but I can’t imagine the holidays without my Echo dot and Alexa. This holiday season we added even more magic to our house with the Echo Dot Kids Edition.  What an awesome device! I knew when I read about it that it would be pretty cool, but I had no idea how much fun it would add to our home and how much it would ignite a spark in our kids. I think by now everyone knows that you can ask Alexa questions, but this usefulness is multiplied by 10 when you have kids.

Did you know that $4 a month is all that’s needed to make a big impact with Utah schools?

School is in full swing and I couldn’t be happier to see my little learners get back to expanding their horizons and soaking in new information. Starting the new school year can be a time of great excitement… and anxiety for kids and parents. Back to school can be tough even on the most prepared parents. And for kids it can be hard to go from a summer of doing nothing to a school year packed with things to do. So I wanted to share with you today some of my favorite products and services to help the school year go a little more smoothly and to make your life as a parent easier.

Greenlight Card: The Simple and Hassle Free Way to Teach Kids Financial Responsibility

Becoming financially responsible has been a huge topic in our home recently. With two older kids we want to make sure they are fiscally responsible and we know it’s our job as parents to make sure they are ready for the real world. We have set up budgets and jobs for all of our kids, but it can be difficult to distribute that money to them. Gone are the days of a piggy bank. In this day in age with so much technology it just seems so antiquated.

About Mamas Spot

We are a family of four that left it all behind to go travel the world. No, literally we left it all. We sold all of our possessions, packed what we could into four suitcases and said goodbye to suburban life. All we own is now pulled behind us as we travel to new and exciting destinations. Showing our kids the world and teaching them about new cultures, food, and ways of life is now our 9-5.

We love watching our kids learn, and learning along side them. Together we have now explored many new countries, visited family on the other side of the world, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Welcome to our journey!
