I hear all the time from friends, family and readers how they would love to visit a particular destination if only they knew the language a little better or at all. How often do we find ourselves intimidated by other languages? It should never hold us back though from exploring amazing new places! I knew the day would come that my kids would need their own cell phone. To be honest it wasn’t something I was thrilled by. My kids having their own phone is just another step in them growing up and getting older. To me, it was a milestone that I wasn’t looking forward to and kept pushing off, but I also see the benefits of tweens having a phone.

With so much time on my hands lately I have been taking a deeper look at our family’s expenses and where we can trim down a bit. I realized our family was greatly overpaying for our cell phone service. Most of us signed up for a cell plan years ago and never give it a second thought. We figure as long as it works, then that’s good enough. But why overpay?

When I come across amazing sites like Skillshare I just have to stop for a moment and really soak in what a great time it is to be alive. Nothing like this was even possible 10 years ago. If you wanted to learn a new skill the answer would unanimously be “go to school; enroll in a college course”. You had to go to college to learn new skills or go dig up a library book and hope it had all the information you needed, but now with Skillshare you can learn right in your own home (possibly even with your PJ’s still on).

That’s right you can now go grab your very own copy of Downton Abbey DVD from Walmart! I’m so excited to watch it again. I saw it in the theater, but it’s always nice to snuggle up on your own couch (or bed since I have been sick this week) and watch such a great movie.
