The Simple and Hassle Free Way to Teach Kids Financial Responsibility

Becoming financially responsible has been a huge topic in our home recently. With two older kids we want to make sure they are fiscally responsible and we know it’s our job as parents to make sure they are ready for the real world. Skillshare: Learn New Skills and Hobbies from Anywhere!

When I come across amazing sites like Skillshare I just have to stop for a moment and really soak in what a great time it is to be alive. Nothing like this was even possible 10 years ago. If you wanted to learn a new skill the answer would unanimously be “go to school; enroll in a college course”. You had to go to college to learn new skills or go dig up a library book and hope it had all the information you needed, but now with Skillshare you can learn right in your own home (possibly even with your PJ’s still on).

Using First Alert Technology to Keep Your Home Safer

There are many types of moms. Personally, I’m what you would call the “overprotective mom.” I’m always concerned about the possible dangers that my kids might face. I’ll be the mom holding my son’s hand all the way to school… when he’s 15! I’m always jealous of friends who just let go and don’t fret over every little thing their kids do. I try to let go whenever I can to help my kids have more independence and freedom, but there are some areas that every mom or parent should be overprotective. One of these is home safety. Proper smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are such an important safety measure for our homes and yet it isn’t something we think about often.
