This year, our family really wanted to fully explore England and find some of the best destinations to pass along to other families and travelers. So often, we plan a trip to London and don’t take the time to explore further, so on our last trip, we set out to find some new fantastic family friendly destinations. Our family has been traveling the globe for years now, but we always love coming back home to the US. We have now been to all but 13 states, and we love learning more and exploring our home turf. I get people asking me all the time about what state is our favorite, and while I feel every state has something amazing to offer travelers, if I had to pick one that stood out the most and took me by surprise it would be… Kansas! I know what you’re thinking right? Really, Kansas? Yes, Kansas! There’s so much cool stuff and activities for families all stuffed into this awesome state.

Edinburgh has many accommodation options, but none quite like The Principal Hotel. It can be difficult to find the perfect family friendly and more importantly kid friendly luxury accommodations, but The Principal goes above and beyond for family travelers.

As soon as we arrived I knew staying with The Principal was going to be a fantastic experience. The property is located right in the heart of Edinburgh and you can even walk to all the main attractions and sites. We parked our car and never even went back to it until our stay was done. It was great to be able to be within walking distance of everything!

It’s no secret in our family that I prefer nice, clean, and perfectly tempered hotel rooms, so needless to say the next part of our Costa Rica family adventure definitely put me a little outside of my comfort zone. In the end, it turned out it was for the best, though, and I wouldn’t trade our time tenting for anything else!
