Think you know Nevada? Think again! What you missed on your last trip!

Las Vegas… if you ask my 8 year old daughter her favorite place we’ve been so far, her response is unequivocally “Las Vegas”. Not exactly what you would expect a kid to say, more like a response from an early 20 something, but there are some pretty great reasons why this is her favorite destination. It’s also not just Vegas, both our kids love everything about Nevada and what it holds for us during our family travels.

Welcome to Kansas: One of the Best Road Trip States in America!

Our family has been traveling the globe for years now, but we always love coming back home to the US. We have now been to all but 13 states, and we love learning more and exploring our home turf. I get people asking me all the time about what state is our favorite, and while I feel every state has something amazing to offer travelers, if I had to pick one that stood out the most and took me by surprise it would be… Kansas! I know what you’re thinking right? Really, Kansas? Yes, Kansas! There’s so much cool stuff and activities for families all stuffed into this awesome state.

So let’s go on a little road trip together and see what amazing activities, food, lodging, and attractions can be found in Kansas.

Our Kids’ Idaho Adventure – And why they can’t wait to return!

Some destinations you just know will be a hit with your kids (i.e. Orlando, Anaheim, etc.) and others you know are more places you want to go and not so much a destination for the kids (i.e. that vineyard you’ve always wanted to visit in Napa Valley). On our recent trip to Idaho though, I really didn’t know what to expect and how it would tailor to our kids’ needs and interests. I knew we had some great kid-friendly activities planned, but I wasn’t sure how much they would like Idaho as a destination.
