You might hear the words all-inclusive and think that it would be a dream come true, no matter where or what the resort is right? But not all resorts are created equal, and you really have to do some digging to find the resort that is a perfect fit for you and your family. I have heard many accounts from friends that just went for the cheapest option they could find, and they turned out to be very disappointed. The meals, the service, or the location were all wrong, and instead of the all-inclusive resort being a positive part of the trip, it turned out to be a regret.

Our family is always on the lookout for family friendly destinations that might not be as well-known. This year we discovered Singapore! This amazing island city-state has so much to offer families and more theme parks and fun activities than you can count. I have always been fascinated with Singapore and it’s been on my travel list for a while. We had been staying in Malaysia for a few months and I knew we couldn’t head back home without visiting this amazing place.

Do you ever look for alternative accommodations when traveling? Something other than your typical hotel stay? As a family of four we are always looking for something that has more of a home feel. Somewhere I can cook a meal or two and we have more space to roam around. When we recently looked at heading to Bali I was excited to see that Villas are a big deal there and something that visitors use all the time as an alternative to hotels. It’s no secret in our family that I prefer nice, clean, and perfectly tempered hotel rooms, so needless to say the next part of our Costa Rica family adventure definitely put me a little outside of my comfort zone. In the end, it turned out it was for the best, though, and I wouldn’t trade our time tenting for anything else!

Thailand… a destination most travelers long to visit. There’s just something so intriguing with the culture, the sites and all the amazing nature it holds. We recently had the opportunity to visit Bangkok and it was definitely a unique experience we will always remember. While we loved the culture, the incredibly friendly people and seeing all sites, but there was one detail that made our trip even more amazing, and that was where we stayed. When looking for a hotel I wanted something family friendly, comfortable and located in the heart of Bangkok. I knew as soon as I saw U Sathorn I had found the perfect resort for our family.
