Workout Wednesday: Bike Riding, New Programs & A Giveaway!

So if you are new to Mamas Spot, I started a Mamas challenge a few months back that you can read about here.

I am attempting to lose all of the so called "baby weight" (and then some) So this last week I really feel like I am getting into a good routine

with my workouts and I have started to cut back on chocolate and other sweets. I have been doing a lot of bike riding with my husband which has been great!

This last week I also signed up for Jillian Michaels weigh loss program!

Now normally I'm not a sucker for different workout programs, but I really love her videos and I do believe she is legit and I already feel like this program is really helping!

The fitness videos have been really great and you can create menus and shopping lists! I love how customized everything is to my body type.

Sorry to sound like an infomercial, when I like something I get really excited about it!

So I have really dropped the ball on Workout Wednesday and the Mamas Challenge!

I think I really started to become let down by my progress and apparently ignoring everything weight loss related was my short term solution.

I know it is important for me to do these post, so I will make sure I keep it up from now on.

My progress so far has been pretty pathetic! I have lost 2 pounds, yippee! (I'm being sarcastic) We now are going into June and I'm not doing to well.

I do have hope, I have started bike riding with my husband and I really enjoy it and it's also a good workout.

The days have started getting warmer in my neck of the woods, which makes it a lot nicer to go outside and get some exercise.

So I am going to try to put everything I have into working out and eating right this month and hopefully June will be better than May was.

Onto one of the better parts of workout Wednesday... Our giveaway!

Workout Wednesday: Juggling Giveaway Winner!

Sorry I'm posting this so late! Still sick, I just can't shake this cold. Needless to say I haven't been working out the past week. I have been keeping track of my calories and trying to eat better so hopefully I will get rid of this sinus pressure and start working out soon!

Workout Wednesday: Unhealthy food, Juggling and a Giveaway!

If you are new to Mamas Spot I started Mamas Challenge a few weeks ago and I do a post every Wednesday (Workout Wednesday) updating everyone on my progress. 

So I don't even want to get into my food choices for the past week (not good) and we have had on and off bad weather, so I haven't been walking as much.

I went and played tennis today so that's at least 300 calories for today.

So I'm just going to skip to the giveaway this week! I recently came across this video (juggleFit) for losing weight while juggling which at first I kind of just laughed at. I thought "how do you get a workout juggling?"

But you can actually burn up to 280 calories an hour! I have to admit I can't juggle at all! My husband has been able to for over two years now.

He's one of those lucky people who decides he want to learn something and he almost instantly does! He taught himself to juggle in under an hour!

I have been trying off and on for over two years and I still don't have it down! I always thought it was kind of a pointless skill but it has entertained our kids a lot. (helps when they are melting down)

So I watched and tried juggle fit and it's kind of cool! You definitely don't feel like you are working out. If you are looking for an interesting easy way to work out this would be great for you!

Workout Wednesday: Workouts and A Free Week of Zumba Classes!

Ugh!!!! This shouldn't be so difficult! Needless to say I'm not making a whole lot of progress in April. I am having such a hard time with food! I feel like I am running around making sure that the kids eat healthy.  However, I feel as if I only have time to eat snacks and junk food.  I just grab what I can and the quickest options are usually junk food.

Of course Easter didn't help by any means! We celebrated Easter and my Grandma's Birthday this past weekend which equaled a 1/2 Sheet Chocolate Cake, chocolate covered everything, mashed potatoes, bread with tons of butter and deviled eggs! (On a side note: should they really be called deviled eggs on Easter?) lol

Anyway... I have been working out off and on. We are still getting snow! So it hasn't been possible to take the kids out walking everyday.

On nice days my husband has been riding his bike along with us, which has been great! It is obviously so much easier working out with someone else. It definitely makes me want to workout more when he comes along.

If you have a workout buddy, hold onto them!

I am hoping that I will actually start seeing some progress in May. Unfortunately, we have quite a few birthdays in May including my own and my little boy, who is turning one!

I don't have a scale, but I do have a Wii Fit so I am going to start weighing myself every week to help me keep track of my progress, which in hindsight I should have been doing all along. Hopefully I can lose around 10 pounds in May.
