When staying in Vegas most travelers only think about “on strip” lodging, but it’s a huge mistake to limit yourself. There are probably more options than you realize “off strip” and there are some truly amazing resorts; case in point is The Red Rock Casino & Resort. Not only does The Red Rock Casino & Resort have so much more to offer you, but you also can skip all the other tourists and crowds. I have found that with most places you travel to, the locals know best, and Vegas and The Red Rock Casino & Resort is no exception as it’s where the locals come to play. For me the keyword is “Resort”, which for me means more amenities and more fun. After the holiday craziness I know I could definitely use some amenities and fun - how about you?
You might think of Vegas as only a summer destination, but it makes for a fantastic winter getaway. It’s still warmer than most places and so much fun too. Everyone needs to escape the “winter blues” and Vegas is the place to do it, and The Red Rock Casino & Resort will take excellent care of you during your trip.

If that’s not enough to meet your needs, The Red Rock has an amazing concierge that can take care of anything you might need during your trip. Indeed, it’s probably one of the best services of its type I have ever experienced. They were incredibly helpful, and ready to assist at any time. I sent a few emails to the concierge before my arrival and they immediately responded to help me out. I was extremely impressed with how thorough and quick they were.
A lot of casinos boast that they have everything you need without even having to leave the building, but they usually come up short when it comes to restaurants and entertainment. However, The Red Rock Casino & Resort really does have everything you need under one roof. I loved the wide range of restaurant variety; they have everything from high-end to budget friendly, making it possible for you to save a little so you can splurge later.
The entertainment at Red Rock goes much further than just slot machines and betting tables. Red Rock has a bingo room, movie theater, an amazing pool for warmer seasons and a fantastic bowling alley. This makes it great for any type of travel. Whether you are traveling with kids or just adults, there’s plenty of fun to be had.
We decided to have a kid-free getaway and one night we had a date night right at the hotel, with dinner a movie and several games of bowling without even leaving the property. If you decide to make it a family vacation there is plenty to keep the kiddos entertained as well. The kids will also love the bowling lanes and movie theater, and if you need some adult time Red Rock has Kids Quest, a supervised child care facility that has a floor-to-ceiling climbing maze and play structures including tunnels, slides, ramps, stairs, periscopes, air hops, talking tubes, and a whole lot more.
Red Rock knows how to do amazing luxurious suites too. I loved their huge selection of rooms, ranging from deluxe king and queen suites to villas and “high roller” suites covering over 7,500 square feet. They have everything for any traveler’s tastes.
Our room was a signature suite and it was exactly what we needed. Our room had a full-sized wet bar (great for entertaining if you travel in a group), full-sized sitting area with 50-inch High Definition Plasma TV, L-shaped sofa, a dining table for four and a ½ bath. I loved planning for entertainment with this suite. If you have other people in your room they have their own bathroom and amenities without even stepping foot into your bedroom. Being able to have two separate areas even came in handy for just myself and my husband. He could work and watch football in one room while I worked in the other. I would without any doubt highly recommend the signature suites.
As with most luxury hotels the attention to detail was great, but The Red Rock adds their personal touch, which I really loved. With my turn-down service they left a card letting me know the weather for the next day. (Love it!) This made it super easy to know what to plan for the next day without looking it up myself.
They also make sure to let guests know about events or any specials happening around the resort. There were some days I was working a lot in my room and wouldn’t normally be aware of “happy hours” or other things happening around the hotel. I was impressed with how well they keep you in the loop on what’s happening.
Staying at The Red Rock has really changed my whole perspective of a Vegas trip, and has opened my eyes to the amazing benefits on staying “off strip”. If you are in need of an adult getaway or need to escape the “winter blues” then I highly recommend staying at the resort that truly has everything under one roof… The Red Rock Casino & Resort.
