Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner: Your Ultimate DC Family Hotel

I have a list of hotels that I rely on for a certain feel - an appeal that only they can provide, or their so-called niche. They bring something to the table in my favorite destinations that no one else can give me. Whether it’s an international destination or here at home, I have my "go-to hotel.” Be it NYC, Paris, London, Tokyo, LA, or even New England in the fall, I know where I am going to feel completely taken care of and relaxed.

When I travel to DC, my hotel of choice is the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner. Normally I would choose Hyatt for business travel, as it is perfectly appointed for the business traveler. The rooms have fantastic workspaces, ample plugs for electronics, and a modern, contemporary, and clean feel that almost makes you want to stay in your room and work.

During my last visit to Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner, though, I was able to get a glimpse of what Hyatt can offer family travelers. I wasn’t sure what to expect when bringing the children there, but I was pleasantly surprised with how amazing Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner was for our family! You can actually read here why it’s one of my kids' favorite hotels.

First, I want to share with you though why it’s the perfect hotel for parents. Grab one of the suites at Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner and you will have the perfect family vacation set in motion. I believe nothing kills the happy family vacation like tightly packing into a hotel room. In the suites at Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner, mom and dad have their own space and the kids have theirs. Everyone can feel relaxed and rejuvenated after a stay with Hyatt.
When traveling with kids, I would always recommend to, if possible, get two suites that are connected instead of just one room. This will greatly increase the likelihood of maintaining your sanity. Everyone needs their own space, and even kids feel the need to have a little solitude from time to time.

My husband and I even did the date night package they have for some extra alone time. We hired a sitter and went to dinner and a movie. We ate a fabulous dinner at Bushel and Barrel, which is located inside the Hyatt, and the movie was right across the courtyard at Tysons Corner. With the location of Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner, you don’t have to go very far to have a good time. Everything you need is right there!

A huge perk of staying at Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner if traveling by train is that the station goes right to Tysons Corner and it’s only a short walk to Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner. We traveled by train from NYC, so the convenient location makes our travel incredibly easy. When we head to DC to check out the sights it’s just a short train ride there.

As we walked away from our stay, we were all sad to go, but felt incredibly refreshed and relaxed - you really can’t ask for anything better from a family vacation. We are incredibly grateful to Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner for an amazing stay!

We received accommodations to facilitate this review, all opinions are my own and our family loves Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner!
