When picking out a family hotel I feel location can be one of the highest requirements. You want a hotel that is centrally located in a convenient location. When visiting the Virginia/DC area there is really only one excellent choice, and that’s The Hyatt Regency Tyson Corner Center. I can’t think of a better hotel and a better location.
Tysons Corner is comprised of a shopping mall, restaurants, movie theater and more. What more could you need to keep your family entertained and happy? With little kids this makes it great for days when it seems like it might be impossible to just get out of the hotel room. If you just can’t quite get out to see the DC attractions, you can spend a day chilling at the hotel and still have some great family fun.
The Hyatt Regency at Tysons Corner also has a wonderful American Girl Package that will make your stay extra memorable. Upon arrival your kids will be greeted with some tasty treats in the room along with an American Girl bed made up special for your child’s American Girl Doll. Your children will also be treated to a complimentary American Girl breakfast in the morning. You will find a large American Girl store at Tyson’s Corner that your kiddos can head to and check out more dolls and accessories.
The rooms at The Hyatt are very spacious and your whole family can spread out. I have found in the past with some chains the attention to detail with the bedding can be lacking, but that is not the case with The Hyatt Regency at Tysons Corner. The bedding and the bed itself were super comfortable, so much so that I had a hard time getting out of bed the next morning. Now that’s comfort.
If your plans have you visiting all the sites in DC, but you don’t want to have to worry about parking the Metrorail station is conveniently located near the hotel and makes for easy trips into DC. Upon returning back to the hotel you can take advantage of the 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center or indoor pool.
On your visit to Tysons Corner whether you plan on staying at the Hyatt or not I would highly recommend Barrel & Bushel.
