We recently tested out a pretty sweet crossover SUV in one of my favorite cities, NYC! At first it was a little daunting (the thought of trying to navigate the city), but that’s what our Mazda CX-5 was there for. With a great navigation system and sport mode we were ready to take anything on. Let me just warn you that driving in the city isn’t for passive or timid drivers and having a vehicle that has your back is always a plus. Whether you are driving in a big city or out in the country the Mazda CX-5 will have everything you need.
Here are just a few of my favorite features:

The features that definitely came in handy in NYC were the Sport Mode and Fuel Efficiency. When you are driving down the freeway in New York you need a vehicle that has some “get up and go”. Being able to throw it into sport mode and quickly get around was so convenient, and necessary. In the city it can be hard to get to a gas station so having the CX-5’s fuel efficiency was a lifesaver!
(Love the drink holders in the back seat! This would be great with my kiddos!)
I was really impressed by the comfort of the Mazda CX-5. I have tested out a lot of new vehicles, and most feel about the same. At a certain point a seat in a car, is just a seat in a car. With the CX-5 the comfort and difference was really noticeable as soon as I sat down.
With some crossovers space compromises usually are made somewhere in the vehicle, but the CX-5 felt really spacious and also had plenty of cargo space for our bags. Which I was grateful for since I packed way too much on this trip!
The Mazda CX-5 also comes with all these amazing “bells and whistles”:
:: Rear backing camera - I can’t emphasize enough how necessary this is if you have kids or live in a neighborhood with kids. I consider this a safety feature really. Also comes in handy for parallel parking!
:: LED headlights with auto leveling –They will level to where you need them so they are always focused on the road ahead of you.
:: Dual-zone automatic climate control – So handy for passengers with different climate preferences.
:: Blind Spot Monitoring – you will never have to worry about not seeing someone in your blind spot.
:: Smart Brake Support – If you get to close to the car in front of you, this will slow the vehicle down to give you a bigger buffer zone. How awesome is that?!
