This last Halloween just might have been one of our last Halloween celebrations for a while. (We are making plans to be out of the country for next Halloween). For this reason we made sure to make it as fun as possible! We threw a Halloween party for the kiddos and invited all their friends to come and have a blast.
As our family starts to make some major shifts, it’s moments like these I want to capture and hold onto. I know I can always rely on my Panasonic Lumix to help me make that possible. It really is an amazing camera and I have been so impressed with it. I don’t end up looking like the paparazzi with a big bulky camera; it’s incredibly lightweight and easy to carry around. This is thanks to it being mirrorless so it doesn’t have the bulk of traditional DSLR’s.
I saw a lot of moms with their smartphones out and I just know they weren’t getting as many quality photos. With the Panasonic LUMIX G7 if I feel like I might not be able to capture that perfect moment, due to restless kids (number one enemy for getting blurry photos) I can switch the Lumix into 4k video mode and grab photos from that.
The 4k captures 30 still frames for every second of video. So I can hand select frames from my video and my chances of amazing perfectly timed pics goes way up!
*Halloween costume tip - My baby girl decided to be a rock star this year and my little boy was a skeleton. He wanted to be a glow in the dark skeleton which wasn’t easy! We couldn’t find a costume anywhere so we just picked up some glow in the dark fabric paint and did a little DIY!
My daughters costume was also DIY we just found her clothes from the store that when put together made her look like a rock star. She can now wear the outfit all year round and it was way cheaper than a regular store bought costume. My son now where’s his costume as PJ’s. Doing costumes this way saves us money every year, and provides extra clothing for our kiddos too!

I love going out with them while they do their trick-or-treating I know they won’t be small like this for much longer and I love having photos like the one below to cherish as they grow older. With built in WIFI I can also share these photos instantly with other family members. This has been a huge bonus for me with the Panasonic LUMIX G7. Holidays and special moments can be shared straight to social your media.
With a touch-enabled monitor you can change the focus of your shots, scroll through photos, or change settings instantly. This really is a camera that has it all! Thank you to Panasonic for helping me hold on to precious family memories!
