Our Families Top Hotel Pick for Fun and Relaxation in Vegas!

Everyone wants to have fun while vacationing in Vegas, but a vacation is supposed to also be relaxing too right? Especially with the whole family in tow. When planning a family vacation keeping it simple is definitely the key to relaxation. This is why we love taking our kids to Vegas, it has a dash of fun and endless possibilities for relaxation.

It surprises a lot of people that we take our kids to Vegas. Most have been led to believe that Vegas holds nothing appropriate or fun for kids, and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. While there are definitely some areas you want to stay away from, and we have found ourselves on more than one occasion steering our kids in the opposite direction of an “interesting” street performer; there is still so much for kids and families to enjoy in Vegas! There are even tons of free things to do like the Bellagio gardens, Flamingo Wildlife Habitat, Fremont Street Experience, Mirage Volcano and more!

While we love heading to the strip for some free entertainment we almost always prefer staying off strip and our hotel of choice is Green Valley Ranch. Once your head hits your pillow at night you want to feel like the party has stopped. No one (especially parents) wants to feel like their hotel is a 24/7 frat party. This is why Green Valley Ranch has separated their casino from the resort and hotel. This way you can have both without feeling like they are mixed together. Fun and relaxation separately on one property.

One of the reasons we love staying at Green Valley is that the property has activities for families, adults and even activities just for kids. Right near the casino you will find Kids Quest which is something like a daycare mixed with a fun center for kids. You can drop your kids off, but they won’t feel like they have been left while you go and have fun because they will be having fun too! At first look I didn’t even realize Kids Quest was technically a daycare; it looks like way too much fun to be a day care! Kids Quest has a rock climbing wall, huge playground, basketball court, air hockey table, video games and more. Even teens can hang out here and not get bored.

The biggest thing that caught my attention with Kids Quest though, was that unlike other daycares, the staff creates an environment of one-on-one interactions and direct communication and play. This, in my opinion, is priceless. When I came to pick up the kids, my son was sitting at one of the tables playing with blocks and creating a building. Normally this is a solo activity for him, but one of the staff members was right there helping him with his creation. It was so adorable!

This peace of mind that your kids are having fun and being looked after makes it possible to go have some fun for yourself. Green Valley Ranch has plenty of fun for the adults. While the kiddos are having their fun you can enjoy over 2,000 games in the European inspired casino, bliss out at the award winning spa, see a movie at the Green Valley’s movie theater, shop at the District just steps away or just chill at the amazing outdoor pool. I don’t know of any other Vegas hotel that can cater to both kids and adults so well.

If you happen to be in Vegas during the holidays you will definitely want to check out The Green Valley Ranch Winter’s Village!
Winter’s Village at Green Valley Ranch is the perfect destination to create holiday traditions and make memories your family and friends will cherish for years to come. Open daily during the holiday season, including the ice rink featuring “real ice,” holiday treats, Santa Claus weekends and a holiday lounge area to relax. Plan your trip to Las Vegas or even a holiday staycation at Green Valley Ranch here!

A big thank you to Green Valley Ranch for hosting our family in order to facilitate this review, all opinions are my own.
