We recently took our kids on their first trip to New York City. My husband and I had been several times already, but we felt it was time for them to see what a big city is like. I also wanted to take this opportunity to see NYC through their eyes, seeing what the Big City is like for a kid experiencing it for the first time.

It’s heating up outside! That means as parents or caregivers we need to be more vigilant when we have kiddos in the car. You hear so many stories where a caregiver either thought they could just leave the car for a minute or they accidentally forgot their child was in the car. This is something you never think will happen to you until it does.

As most of you know we homeschool as we travel and I am always looking for opportunities to sneak in education while visiting certain destinations. So when we decided to head to Washington D.C. I knew it was going to be a goldmine opportunity for our kids to learn about American history and more. I couldn’t wait to walk around the National Mall, museums and other historical sites and watch them soak in all that our nation’s capital has to offer.

To be completely honest when I first heard of Quinoa pancakes I was a little skeptical. I am definitely not a winter person, I need those summer days to thrive! Unfortunately, I live in a state that has a long cold winter/spring and so our family planned an escape this year to San Diego! Nothing says vacation quite the ocean, beautiful beaches and warm air of San Diego.
