when I say wow, it's not a good wow. When I checked my mail today I found my free headset from 1SaleADay.

And when I opened it up I got quite a shock, it was used! I have signed up for freebies in the past from 1SaleADay and they definitely were sub-par

but never already used! I usually don't complain about freebies, but I don't think there is any excuse for sending a used item when it was supposed to be new.

And even worse it had this gross brown stuff on it!

Needless to say after taking these pictures I threw it away, I was so disgusted. So if you don't see anymore freebies from 1SaleADay on Mamas Spot you will know why.

This isn't a freebie, this is someone sending you their garbage. Did anyone else receive theirs?

Rite Aid has a new coupon policy. I wish I could say it's better, but unfortunately there is one big change that is kind of a bummer.

You can no longer use a MQ buy one get one free coupon with a rite Aid buy one get one free sale.

I have to say that this is one of the things I loved about Rite Aid. You can check out the rest of the new coupon policy here.

I would take this with you when you go shopping, sometimes cashiers are unaware of the stores coupon policy.

I have always found that one of the greatest blessings of couponing has been to be able to help others! And right now the people of Joplin, Missouri greatly need that help.

I know that for most of us it is easier to give items from our stockpiles than give money.

I was searching around and Money Saving Mom has a reader who lives very near the destruction and her husband’s ministry Mustard Seed Global Fellowship has teamed up with The Bridge (another local ministry) to form a shelter and supply distribution hub.

They can use all of the extra supplies you can send. Needs include:

Non-perishable Food (most are without electricity and gas, so sending food that doesn’t need to be cooked is especially helpful)

Toiletries (deodorant, shampoo, soap, body wash, razors, shaving cream, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc.)

Diapers, wipes, formula

Towels

Clothing

Please send the items to:

Joplin, MO 64804

They will distribute them to those who need them most.

Be sure to package your items securely. Wrap any bottles or items that might leak in plastic, to prevent spills in the box. If you are sending towels or clothing, please send items that are in good condition.

So my little baby boy will be turning one this Wednesday! We did a party for him today (hence the small amount of posts today, sorry). I can't believe he's not a little baby anymore (although I will probably always refer to him as my little baby) He will also be having a party on Wednesday and next Saturday, so we will be partied out this week! Hopefully I can get some better pictures our camera is terrible.

So I thought that since I was going to be celebrating this week anyway, I might as well celebrate on Mamas Spot! So we will be doing a Huge Toy Giveaway this whole week! Every other day I will be featuring a new toy up for grabs.

As couponers we are blessed to have an abundance of a lot of products especially pantry items. And tomorrow there is a great opportunity to give to those less fortunate.

Every year the National Association of Letter Carriers does their Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

So tomorrow (5/14) you can leave bags of non-perishable items next to your mailbox to be picked up!

Please don't include anything with glass or expired items.

I love this event every year! I try to donate items during the holidays, but this is a great way to do something during the summer!

I want to wish all the Mamas out there a Happy Mother's Day! (I'm still sick and on Nyquil so hopefully this all comes out right!) I think it's hard to even comprehend the hard work and sacrifice we go through as moms. And we do it all because of the unconditional love we have for our children. I know that normally we have our children thank us on Mother's Day, but my two babies are still too little to understand what today means so I want to thank them for making me a Mama.

To my little girl: You bring a ray of sunshine into my life ever day. Every time I see you smile it makes all of the pain of tantrums, potty training and your stubbornness melt away. I love that we will be siting at the kitchen table and out of the blue you will say to me "I love you mama" it still brings a tear of joy to my eye. I have dreamed about having a little girl since I was a teenager, but I never imagined how much of a blessing in my life you would be.

I knew when I held you in my arms at the hospital, my life would be changed for ever and it has been. You have brought so much meaning and purpose to my life thank you so much baby girl. 

To my handsome little boy: You are growing up so fast, I keep thinking you are still a little baby (your Daddy keeps reminding me otherwise) but you are going to be turning one this month. I don't know what I did do deserve such a sweet little boy. You are always smiling I love your smile and it reminds me everyday that I should be happier. There are times I just want to hold you and I don't want to let go.

Like most Mamas I don't want to lose having a little baby, but I know you will just become an amazing little boy. I can't wait to watch you grow and see all the great things you will do. Thank you so much for blessing my life.

I also want to thank my Mom, but not for all the things she has done for me (which is a lot) I want to thank her for her greatest strength today, being a wonderful Grandma!

I know she was a little hesitant about being a Grandma, I think as women we feel it makes us old. But age is not what a Grandma is. (Mom you are not old!) But you are a Grandma and one of the best

grandma's I have ever seen. You have such love and compassion for your grandchildren. You would do anything for your grandchildren, and they are too young to tell you right now, but I know that they love every minute they spend with you. Thank you for being such a wonderful Grandmother (and Mother).

I also want to thank my Mother In Law today, she was never the typical Mother In law who disapproved of me dating and marrying her only son, instead she always accepted me and treated me like a daughter from the very  beginning. Thank you for always making me feel like an integral part of the family. 

Happy Mother's day to all the great Mamas out there! I hope you are having a wonderful day. So put you feet up, relax, sit back and enjoy this day that honors all of your hard work!
