Kids notoriously get excited about seemingly small things. While traveling all I hear most days are the phrases, “mom, I want that!” or, “mom can we do that?!” While it can be tempting to give in to their requests since you’re in vacation mindset, there are some things you know will affect them in a profound way. At our recent stay with Green Valley Ranch, we were given a special opportunity to try out Color Me Mine. If you haven’t heard of Color Me Mine, it’s a fantastic place for kids and adults to find their creative side through making your own painted creations. This was our first time doing anything like this and the kids were super excited to try it out.

Recently, we decided that it was time for our kids to finally experience the Big Apple!  My husband and I had been many times, but this was their first experience, and I couldn’t wait to see NYC through their eyes. For a child, going from a small town to the big city is a huge change, and I knew it would be fascinating for them. New York City isn’t exactly what I would consider kid friendly, but it still has a lot to offer the young ones. From huge parks to amazingly tall buildings, kids are sure to be captivated by this impressive city.

When you plan a family vacation do you make time available to experience new adventures?  I think most parents consider vacations as a time to relax, but vacations also provide us with time to squeeze in a little adventure too. Chances are you won’t remember the last time you relaxed by the hotel pool. What you will remember is the time you went zip-lining or snowmobiling. So when we were approached by BEAR VALLEY SNOWMOBILE, we knew it was an adventure we couldn’t refuse.
