Chef Dan Dienemann pulls up a chair next to our table and starts to describe that passion, and how it is incorporated into the food he prepares and serves every day at Barrel & Bushel. So much passion for a restaurant I might not normally think to visit if I wasn’t already staying at The Hyatt Regency at Tysons Corner right next door. I can’t believe anyone could possibly miss out on this place. By the way, the picture above is his take on Chicken & Waffles! Upscale dining options in Vegas can get overwhelming, there are celebrity chef restaurants that try to get you with the “fame” and others that try to claim the have the best “fill in the blank” you’ve ever had, but really the “best I’ve ever had” in Vegas is located off the strip; introducing… T-Bones Chophouse. It unassumingly sits inside The Red Rock Casino & Resort and in my opinion the name doesn’t quite give it the recognition it rightly deserves. Before making our reservations I hadn’t had the time to look at reviews or do any research like I normally do, I had no idea what to expect.

Decisions, decisions, decisions, usually when I sit down at a new restaurant I can pretty much find the dish I want in a matter of a few minutes. That wasn’t the case at Bread & Tulips. So many amazing sounding dishes, for such a small menu. I kept sending the waitress away, without an order. Finally I go with my gut and choose the Strip Steak Tagliata with roasted herb potatoes, cippoline agrodolce. I wasn’t disappointed.

We recently stayed at the wonderful Langham Hotel and were invited to try out their restaurant Measure. Located in the heart of Midtown it is in a perfect location to stop for lunch, dinner or a drink.  We sat down for a wonderful lunch of Contemporary American cuisine.
