With the school season in full swing, our family has been looking into different resources that could be beneficial to our kids this school year. A struggle that we find ourselves coming back to and I believe a lot of parents have the same issue is keeping up with reading. Keeping kids reading at their grade level can prove difficult and not every child learns the same or is receptive to techniques used in the classroom. When I come across amazing sites like Skillshare I just have to stop for a moment and really soak in what a great time it is to be alive. Nothing like this was even possible 10 years ago. If you wanted to learn a new skill the answer would unanimously be “go to school; enroll in a college course”. You had to go to college to learn new skills or go dig up a library book and hope it had all the information you needed, but now with Skillshare you can learn right in your own home (possibly even with your PJ’s still on).

Try as I might to eat healthy on my own I have realized this year that I could use all the help I can get in this department. I want to eat healthier, but the idea of cooking a separate meal for myself or taking the time to prepare something that my kids probably won’t like just doesn’t sound appealing. So I started looking for other alternatives and came across Freshly and Evolve.

We recently took our kids on their first trip to New York City. My husband and I had been several times already, but we felt it was time for them to see what a big city is like. I also wanted to take this opportunity to see NYC through their eyes, seeing what the Big City is like for a kid experiencing it for the first time.

It’s heating up outside! That means as parents or caregivers we need to be more vigilant when we have kiddos in the car. You hear so many stories where a caregiver either thought they could just leave the car for a minute or they accidentally forgot their child was in the car. This is something you never think will happen to you until it does.
